Golden Knights move Eric Tosi from vice president of communications to chief marketing officer to replace Brian Killingsworth, hire Nate Ewell for Tosi communications role

The Vegas Golden Knights transferred their chief communications officer Eric Tosi to chief marketing officer and hired Tosi’s former communications post by hiring former Washington Capitals chief communications officer Nate Ewell, who is now VGK Vice President, Communications and Content.

Ewell now leads the communications, content and public relations efforts of the Golden Knights. He will also be a spokesperson for Foley Entertainment Group, which is the sports and entertainment company of owner Bill Foley who oversees the Golden Knights, AHL Henderson Silver Knights and a new Indoor Football League team, the Vegas Knight. Hawks. The Silver Knights and Knight Hawks will play in the new arena at Foley’s Dollar Loan Center in Henderson.

As the team’s new Marketing Director, Tosi replaced Brian Killingsworth, who worked more than four years on brand development and Golden Knights sales operations.

Prior to being hired by the Golden Knights in December 2016 as vice president of communications, Tosi spent 10 seasons with the Boston Bruins, where he served as director of team communications and content. Tosi joined the Bruins in 2007 after three seasons with Red Bull New York from Major League Soccer. He began his career in the public relations / media department of the NFL New York Jets.



Ewell joins the Golden Knights after 10 years as an assistant general manager of College Hockey Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting NCAA Division I hockey.

Ewell has led the group’s marketing and communications efforts with an emphasis on digital communications, social media and media relations.

He has experience in the NHL. Ewell has been with the Washington Capitals for eight seasons, most recently as vice president of communications.

He graduated from Princeton and worked as an assistant professor at Georgetown.
