OTTAWA – A number of Dole and President’s Choice brand salads are being recalled due to possible Listeria contamination.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says eight Dole and five President’s Choice salad varieties are included in the recall.
All have an expiration date of January 8 or 9.
The products have been sold in stores across the country and should be discarded or returned to their place of purchase.
No cases of salad-related illness have been reported.
However, contamination with Listeria can cause vomiting, fever, muscle pain, severe headache and in rare cases even death.
